The collection of trilobite fossils from Russia has grown in the Western markets during the early 1990s. Russian paleontologists have profited from selling trilobites despite the long and arduous task of removing them from their hard rock matrices.

A self-confessed fossil addict describes his fossil-hunting expedition to the Mazon Creek Formation in Illinois guided by amateur but expert paleontologist Tom Cesario. The trip proved to be enjoyable despite the hazards they risked.
