George IV's Blue diamond
Article Abstract:
There is evidence to indicate that the 45.5 carat Hope Diamond was cut from the 67.125-carat French Blue Diamond, which disappeared from France in 1792. Evidence also indicates that the 45.5-carat diamond was in the possession of George IV in 1823, before it was acquired by Henry Philip Hope.
