Laser light show used in unveiling of computer stamp
Article Abstract:
The computer stamp will be issued later in 1996, but the design was revealed at a ceremony on Feb 14, 1996 when a laser beam caused it to appear on a screen. The design includes a brain, circuit boards and binary language. How the postal service uses computer technology is discussed.

Comic strip classics unveiled in Washington, D.C
Article Abstract:
On Oct 1 1995, the 20-stamp sheet of stamps honoring comic strips will be issued during National Stamp Collecting Week. Since 1895 cartoons have been carried by US weekly and daily newspapers. Richard Marschall, the designer, comments on the art and caption for each of the stamps.

Tennessee statehood stamp features capitol building
Article Abstract:
The design for the Tennessee statehood bicentennial commemorative is a photograph of the capitol building which was designed by architect William Strickland. The photograph used in the stamp design was taken by Robin Hood, Pulitzer prize winning photographer.
