Ghana commemorates the works of Louis Pasteur
Article Abstract:
On Dec 13, 1995 Ghana issued a sheetlet of five stamps honoring Pasteur. Ebenezer Mensah, a Ghanaian stamp artist designed the set. Each stamp depicts one of Pasteur's contributions, such as, detection of the rabies virus and its vaccine, and the discovery of the pneumococcus bacteria.

New Faroe Islands stamp commemorates Saint Olaf
Article Abstract:
The Faeroe Islands released the stamp for Saint Olaf on Sep 9, 1995. This saint is worshipped in all of the Nordic countries although aside from the Faeroe Islands none celebrate his day of July 29. The life of the saint is discussed, and the stamp described.
