Article Abstract:
Figueora worked for the Philippine Commission which ruled the country in 1901 after the US won it from Spain in the Spanish-American War. One of his designs was used on bank notes, postage stamps, checks revenue paper and lottery tickets. The lady with a hammer motif features his preteen daughter.

USPS recognizes works of Cal Farley
Article Abstract:
On Apr 26, 1996, a stamp honoring Farley will be issued in Amarillo, TX. The stamp was designed by artist Dennis Lyall. This is Lyall's 20th stamp design. Farley is remembered for his organizations which aided children, including the Boys Ranch, Girlstown USA, and Cal Farley Family Program.

Liechtenstein plans set to honor Canon Frommelt
Article Abstract:
Anton Frommelt was a priest, member and president of parliament and a designer of postage for the country. He is revered and the three stamps in the new issue incorporate some of his paintings. The new stamps are described in detail.
