Fourteen point and shoot 35MM cameras are evaluated based on focusing, shutter, significance, exposure system, features, viewfinder, flash, capability and convenience. They include the Konica Hexar, the Contax T VS, the Leica minilux, the Olympus IS-10 and the Nikon 35Ti.

This new Yashica suits us to a T4
Article Abstract:
The Yashica T4, priced at $299, is a small, practical autofocus camera that can focus down to 14 inches. It has a 35mm, f/3.5 Carl Zeiss T lens. The shutter speed ranges from 1/700 to 1 seconds. Results were 'excellent' in areas of sharp images and color rendition.

Nikon's latest: a long tele for everyman (or everywoman)

Nikon's Zoom-Touch 105 point-and-shoot has many of the features of the VR QD but is more affordable at $365 to $379 with databack or about $240 at the store. The unit is light, and the view through the finder is good. The camera is a good value.
