Article Abstract:
Native American Dale Cannon reconnected with his heritage when he found an arrowhead during a personal crisis. Now he knaps arrowheads and stone knives and creates lances and spears in the traditional way, sometimes selling them on the road. He also teaches Boy Scout groups the art of knapping.

Countdown to Tucson
Article Abstract:
The Tucson Gem and Mineral Show has been held every year since 1955. The exhibit has moved from the school auditoriun where it began with eight mineral dealers to the Convention Center to accomodate hundreds of exhibitors. Gemstones of various kinds from different sources are displayed.

Suspended animation
Article Abstract:
Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park in Royal, Nabraska, was where fossils of prehistoric water dwelling animals were discovered. The site was turned into a park in 1978. It is the only park in the world where fossils of around 300 animals were excavated and seen completely.
