An archaeological team headed by Paleotechnics Research Institute Pres. John Gale has discovered a 35-in. skull of the primitive fish Heintzichthys gouldii near downtown Cleveland, OH. The 365-million-year-old specimen is being sold to finance the institute's next dig.

Honey in a rock: Once a producer of golden building stone, a New Mexico site now offers unique specimens of banded honey onyx
Article Abstract:
One of the unique mineral occurrences in the area of the Tres Hermanas of New Mexico is a deposit of honey onyx located south of the mountains and west of Columbus. Good specimens can be obtained from the walls of the quarry with a breaker bar and some effort.

Journey to the mantle of the earth
Article Abstract:
New Mexico's Kilbourne Hole is one of the best places to see pieces of the earth's mantle. This hole is a crater created by a mild volcanic eruption where mantel material and xenoliths can be found.
