Selling stamps is always more difficult than buying

Careful thought needs to go into the selling of stamps whether a complete collection or part of one. Auctions are one option but a seller must have a fair price in mind before starting. Suggestions are provided for marketing stamps, including how to handle stamps unique because of errors in printing.

Fancy albums won't make stamps inside better

A collector's disappointment is described when his beautifully presented stamp collection did not bring in more money when he sold it. He had wasted time and money on a new album. Had he allowed his dealer to sell the stamps separately, as he saw fit, the price would have been better.
