Article Abstract:
Twenty-five members of the American Jewelry Design Council tried to reinvent the wheel and apply their new conceptions to a piece of jewelry. The resulting creations include a pinwheel brooch by Susan Sandler and a brooch using the wheels of a watch by Tina Segal.

Karen Davidson's love of nature and colors is reflected in the jewelry pieces which she designs. Most of the pieces are in organic forms such as climbing vines and flowers, and are usually made with opals, her favorite stone.
