Advertising blotters

Advertising blotters were a popular novelty distributed by many large companies and all small businesses from 1880 to the 1960s. Cards used to blot fountain-pen ink carried advertising and other information on the back. They are now popular collectors' items.

The witch and her familiars

Postcard collecting and sending was a fad in the US between 1900 and 1920. Witchcraft and Halloween were popular subjects for postcards of the time, and witches and their familiars were depicted as ominous and frightening.
