Other farmers, aside from the Amish, are buying horse-drawn machinery for their farms. This equipment is newly manufactured for the growing trade. A team of horses costs about $5,000 while a small farm tractor can cost $20,000. For the small farmer, horse-drawn machinery makes good economics.
