Chinese-American values: a psychographic perspective
Article Abstract:
An exploratory study on the cultural values of Chinese Americans residing in Los Angeles, CA, was conducted. About 39% of the respondents came from mainland China, 23.4% came from Taiwan, 10.4% came from Hong Kong and 5.2% stayed longer in the US. However, 39.4% of respondents reported having cultural affinity with Taiwan. The survey showed that participants consider the values of inner harmony, true friendship, wisdom, forgiveness, honesty, love, and politeness as important.

Men and home economics in the U.S.: 1900-1975
Article Abstract:
A review of adult male participation in home economics in the US between 1900 and 1975 is presented. Two aspects of this issue are investigated. These are male participation in home economics education at college and professional levels. Based on the review, several general trends concerning the degree, nature and circumstances of adult male participation in home economics are derived.
