In the hands of Willem Kips: the fate of agriculture may lie with biodynamic methods used on a small Dutch farm reclaimed from the Zuyder Zee

Article Abstract:

Willem Kips is a Dutch farmer who is dedicated to biodynamic farming. This approach involves all of the ecological systems that affect farm life and extends beyond mere crop production and animal grazing. Kips changed the soil ruined by chemicals, by substituting only organic matter.

Most lawns contain some insects that are kept in check through natural controls. However, it is important to recognize an outbreak of disease or pests. Eight common problems are discussed including chinch bugs, leaf spot, dollar spot, rust, sod webworms and grubs.
