Department of the Air Force, Global Presence in 1995
Article Abstract:
The strategy of Global Presence is a response to global, regional or local situations to achieve national security objectives. Global presence is a team effort involving contribution of various forces to match the emerging international security picture and future applications. US military forces are more mobile, lethal and omnipresent, which contributes to US's global presence. The forces' team effort enables US commanders to use all options to deter enemies or fight and win wars. The political and military leaders must assess world events and choose forces accordingly to project military might.
