Make your own bendwood garden trellis
Article Abstract:
A bentwood trellis can be constructed from branches gleaned from winter pruning. Trees that last best outdoors include red cedar, willow, bald cypress, and osage orange. Softer woods can be used if the trellis is near a protection. Step-by-step instructions are given for building the trellis.

One couple tried many different approaches to keeping deer out of their garden. The best solution was a fence with electrified high-tensile wire that originated from Australia and New Zealand. The wire will yield if heavy limbs fall, but resume its shape after they are removed.

Tailored trellis
Article Abstract:
Cedar lumber is used for constructing trellis pieces. Half-lap joinery is applied by cutting laps into the rails before they are attached to the posts. The rails are secured to the posts with number 8 deck screws.
