Mind your elders: border-friendly shrubs for flower, fruit and leaf
Article Abstract:
There are at least 6 varieties of elders native to the US and about 14 more worldwide. They are easy to grow and provide beautiful flowers and berries that are used both in cooking and in herbal medicine. Pruning keeps them from growing too big. Tips for planting and caring for elders is presented.
