Article Abstract:
The ant lion is an insect that eats ants and other soft-bodied insects in its larval stage. Its effect on gardening and the environment is neutral to slightly beneficial. Ants are so numerous that the amounts consumed by ant lions do not aid in ant control.

Article Abstract:
The Asiatic garden beetle is a garden pest that can destroy lawns, strawberry patches and small plants by eating roots or entire leaves. Dry conditions and beneficial nematodes are two control measures. Applying pesticides to the soil is counter-productive.
