The chrysanthemums are highly sophisticated examples of the plant breeder's technique that bring color to the gardens. The various old-fashioned chrysanthemums that are the rubellum chrysanthemums, the Korean chrysanthemums and the Japanese poms are described, which give a combination of good garden performance without fussing, prolific flowering and a good range of colors and flower forms.
