Article Abstract:
The Chicago loft created by Nick Cave and Jeffery Roberts serves as both a laboratory and a metaphor for aesthetic transformation. They remodeled a 24,000 square foot structure a postmodern renascence by hiring an architect to draw up plans from their designs, and gave a terra-cota facade look which has rubber-splattered maple floors, weathered brick walls and unusual combination of wood-and steel-supporting beams.

Intuit: outsider art at home in Chicago

Intuit's rapid rise is evidenced by its recent move to a new gallery space in Chicago, IL. A nonprofit organization that promotes the artistic works of children and social outcasts, Intuit regularly sponsors lively art events, art education programs and auctions, and maintains a journal and a Web site.
