Article Abstract:
Home center stores, hardware store and the building materials can capitalize on the new consumer interest in specialty painting activities for home decoration and provide clinics to teach sponging, ragging, combing and other faux-finishing operations. Since most retailers are as unfamiliar with these techniques as are customers, they should be careful in selecting a knowledgable and enthusiastic clinic leader, stress the various techniques, take care in selection of time and place, pre-publicize the clinic and be careful to advertise the products and merchandise to be used.
