Stonescaping
Article Abstract:
Stone is often found in the garden but not usually incorporated into the design to enhance the composition and beauty of the surroundings. Stones can be used to control erosion, create transitions in the garden or create the illusion of space. Four techniques for grouping stones in the garden are examined: the flat plane, a connective mass, sloping and stone use for environmental transition.
