Treasured Trilliums
Article Abstract:
Trilliums are most plentiful in the southeastern portion of the US, where their diversity and beauty are commonly on display. These wild flowers require plenty of shade and moist soil. The species that is most familiar to gardeners is the T. grandiflorum, which has 2-to-4-inch-wide flowers.

Tennessee's treasured coneflower
Article Abstract:
The Tennessee cornflower is in danger of being made extinct because of development. Its habitat is easily disturbed, and efforts to keep the plant in the wild include repopulating it in the wild and cultivation of plants by the state Department of Environment and Cultivation.
