Article Abstract:
Several guidelines by experts for using the leftover organic matter that could be turned into nutrient-rich compost for mulch, put in a large number to provide winter habitat for wildlife, or left to decompose naturally is presented. One of the techniques include using a light hand with the pruners and leave at least a few dead stalks of disease-free perennials and vines in the garden to serve as protection for the plant's crown and roots.
