Washington's Rock Creek Park, located not far from the White House, is a perfect haven for urbanites seeking peace and quiet. One of the oldest national parks in the US, it consists of 2,774 acres of forest, glades and gullies and boasts of such attractions as the smallest national cemetery and the oldest house in the state.
