Who was the father of Raggedy Ann?
Article Abstract:
John Barton Gruelle was the creator of the children's book characters, Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy. He was raised in the Midwest and obtained a patent on the Raggedy Ann doll in 1915. A book about the doll was published by Volland in 1918 and in 1920 Raggedy Andy entered the storyline.

The small cast-metal vehicles known as Matchbox cars have been collectors' items since they first appeared in 1948. A history of Matchbox manufacturer Lesney Products, founded by Leslie Smith and Rodney Smith, is presented.
