The marketing program is aimed at the first time computer customer, the educational market, and the computer buffs. The new line is toward personal business rather than entertainment. Their will be around 25 to 30 software packages ranging from $9.95 to $19.95.

Commodore, Atari responding to TI: computer rivals counter rebate

Atari and Commodore are both reacting to Texas Instruments' computer rebate program by offering deals of their own. Commodore is cutting the cost of its computers while Atari is using software coupons to sell its equipment.
