The furniture manufacturer Douglas Furniture is in the business from 1900 but kept a very low profile. With the majority partners Norwest Equity Partners taking over the control the company plans for the image makeover and looking to other allied segments like upholsteries business. The company has moved all its production to Tijuana, Mexico and put up its unused facilities for sale.
