Hercules to be sole owner of 1-year-old FiberVisions

Hercules Inc. is purchasing the 49% share of FiberVisions owned by Denmark-based Jacob Holm & Sons A/S, which is a joint-venture partner of Hercules, for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition is anticipated to be completed in August 1998. FiberVisions is anticipated to add approximately $110 million to the combined revenues of Hercules in 1998 and add $280 million in 1999. Hercules Chairman and CEO R. Keith Elliott commented FiberVisions was created as a joint venture to enhance the company's competitive competition position.
