MTC frames new division
Article Abstract:
Metal Tile/MTC Framed Art of Great Neck, NY, has established a new juvenile unit that will market inexpensive framed art intended for children and infants. The 25-year-old firm, which will be participating for the first time at the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association show in October 1998, decided to launch the new division after the initial success of a teddy bear print it presented in a bath show in the fall of last year. MTC Framed Art's new division now offers a collection of over 200 images including those from Beatrix Potter and Disney.

Lawyers: battle is just beginning
Article Abstract:
Several state regulators have stepped up their investigations into the furniture retailers' use of manufacturers' suggested retail prices (MSRPs) for comparative pricing. Legal experts believe that furniture manufacturers will be eventually held liable for the use of MSRPs. They also advise manufacturers to discontinue MSRPs and retailers to avoid using them in advertising.
