Furniture First revamps corporate structure
Article Abstract:
Furniture First has altered its corporate structure by electing new officers and directors and by adding four members. At the firm's annual meeting, members voted to transform from a non-profit corporation to a for-profit, stock-held corporation to be based in Delaware. Furniture First President Bill Hartman stated that the modification enables the firm's board of directors to function more effectively and that operating as a for-profit company under Delaware laws allows the firm to implement business decisions more efficiently.
