Thomasville store prospers in Shanghai
Article Abstract:
Thomasville's location in Shanghai, China, co-owned by Tony Phua of Shanghai and Lam Lee International of Dallas, TX, has done so well in its initial year of operation that its owners are planning to expand in 1999. The store, which started operations in February 1998, was able to sell its entire inventory in May 1998 and now have to borrow supplies from Da Vinci, another furniture retailer owned by the two partners, until its own stock arrives. Thomasville's three-story China site, located at Huai Hai Zhong Road, has a showroom of about 11,000 sq-ft.
