Finding a custodian in a shrinking market
Article Abstract:

Global custodial capabilities, adaptability, transparency, monitor and control and emerging markets are other factors that must be taken into account. Essentially, relationships between plan sponsors and custodians should be based on sponsors' sophistication and resources, the needs and benefits of custody and trust.

How to evaluate manager style and skill
Article Abstract:
Plan sponsors may create more successful investment programs by delineating the prominent investment characteristics that their investment managers consistently display in their assigned portfolios, thus creating a benchmark. The investment skills of the managers may then be evaluated by comparing their performance to the benchmark over a time period. Benchmarks may be selected for each manager retained to invest assets for a plan.
