College students' attitudes about insurance
Article Abstract:
The Connecticut Chapter of the Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters Research Committee conducted a survey in 1991 to verify college juniors' and seniors' knowledge of insurance, opinion of insurance as a business and opinion of insurance as a career. The results indicated that most of the college students knew very little about insurance. These students did not placed such a high regard for the insurance industry as compared for other industries. In addition, college students failed to consider insurance as a career after graduation.

The level of legal duty is the agent's choice
Article Abstract:
The legal standards for an insurance agent's conduct and the agent's capability to identify the level of legal standard are described in the context of the 'special circumstances' doctrine. Under this doctrine the customer is established upon facts that show a long-standing relationship with the insured. In most court cases, an agent will only be held accountable, in the absence of 'special circumstances', for failure to secure coverage.
