Changes in an employee's status (marriage, birth, adoption, death, divorce, legal separation, change of residence or work site, and cost of coverage) involve various aspects of COBRA, HIPAA, and section 125 of the IRS code regarding health care plans. This article provides and overview of this, sometimes complex situation.
