The US Congress approved the implementation of the Child Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to help extend the health insurance coverage of employees to uninsured children. Since its enactment in 1997, the popularity of CHIP has considerably increased due to its promising benefits to the state, company owners and employees. Through the program, employees may be able to provide a unified system of care to family members, thereby making health care less expensive.
