Cubanos, Americans and modes of being between in pre-Castro Cuba
Article Abstract:
Cubanos familiar with American culture in pre-Castro Cuba were part of a wider society that included Cubanos who were also American and Americans familiar with Cuban culture. The issues of the collective identities of ethnicity and nationality and the status of those individuals who exist between the established categories are examined.
