Five decades of terrorism in Europe: The TWEED dataset
Article Abstract:
A regional dataset on internal terrorism, Terrorism in Western Europe: Event Data (TWEED), which records internal terrorist activities in 18 West European countries from 1950 to 2004, is presented in order to help in the analyses of the causes of terrorism. The selection of sources from which the coding is done and the problems of source coverage related to relying on a single source are discussed.

Inequality and violent crime: Evidence from data on robbery and violent theft
Article Abstract:
The link between income inequality and violent property crime is argued to be spurious. Results of the argument suggests that inequality is not a statistically significant determinant, unless either country-specific effects are not controlled for or the sample is artificially restricted to a small number of countries.

Good policy can lower violent crime: evidence from a cross-national panel of homicide rates, 1980-97
Article Abstract:
The good political governance and economic policies are the key to lower homicide rates. The other aspects like higher income levels are also associated with lower homicide rates, this indicates that policies aiming at improving equity have no effect on violent crime.
