Human rights rogues in interstate disputes, 1980 - 2001
Article Abstract:
A study proposing an alternative understanding of rogue state status that goes back to earlier notions of international pariah states, isolated from the rest of international society, owing to their egregious treatment of their own citizens is presented. It shows that human rights rogues are more likely to become involved in militarized interstate disputes in general, and violent interstate disputes specifically, than other states during the period 1980 - 2001.

Gendered conflict
Article Abstract:
Issues concerning the relationship between a state's military policy and the equality afforded to women in the state are examined, focusing on the hypothesis that a state that grants equality to women may be less militaristic than one that does not. Researched variables include women legislators, suffrage, and number of women employees in the state.
