Iran builds the bomb
Article Abstract:
Political as well as military observers are worried over the Islamic Republic of Iran's capabilities in building a nuclear bomb especially keeping in mind the immense fall-out of its war with Iraq in the 1980s. Analysts however point out that the question of Iran actually building the bomb will depend on its relations with the US as also the security equations in the region and the US, because of its tremendous clout in the world may be the only country that can rein in the Iranians.

Iran, Israel and politics of terrorism
Article Abstract:
Iran's hostility toward, even after about three decades of constant change and reform, is the most entrenched element of its foreign policy, as its hostility has served both its ideological mandates and strategic calculations. Iran's foreign policy seems unlikely to change noticeably due to the consolidation of conservative power within Iran and collapse of diplomatic efforts to ensure a viable Israeli-Palestinian peace.

Iran: from reform to revolution?
Article Abstract:
The political climate leading up to the February elections reflected the success of the conservative backlash in contrast to the victory of reformist candidates in the 2000 election with hopes of a democratic breakthrough. Iran is on the verge of its most acute crisis as the political impasse of the past few years is turning to active confrontation between the restive population and an inflexible theocracy.
