Justice unbound? Globalization, states and the transformation of the social bond
Article Abstract:
Liberalization has become an end and world leaders of developed countries have pursued it in the hopes of achieving economic bliss. In its pursuit, social norms, values and the concepts of the civil society have been trampled. Attempts have been made to depoliticize international institutions. However, these attempts have not been fruitful. Economics have prevailed and until there is a shared normative commitment to the virtue of policy, then collective policies through international institutions will lack legitimacy.

The viability of the United Nations approach to economic and social human rights in a globalized economy
Article Abstract:
The United Nations framework for assessing economic and social human rights can be said to be inclined towards legal positivism. Nations are urged to protect and fulfill their legal obligations for the upliftment of international human rights. Less developed countries may benefit from a statist approach to the protection of human rights, despite its discouragement in the face of economic globalization.
