Rebels without a cause: North Korea, Iran and the NPT
Article Abstract:
Unchecked nuclear weapons development in North Korea and the incipient nuclear weapons program in Iran pose seminal challenges to the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty (NPT). An attempt is made to examine these challenges, focusing on the actions that concerned European states might take to leverage and guide the inevitably central US role.

Bad, mad, sad or rational actor? Why the 'securitization' paradigm makes for poor policy analysis of north Korea
Article Abstract:
A historicized and contextualized rational actor model is given as a realistic basis for international policies to promote the peace and stability of the Korean peninsula. The 'securitization' paradigm in use is based on Cold War politics and no longer provides a useful frame of reference for policy-makers dealing with that country.

The notion of multiculturalism that it is growing old and obsolete is presented highlighting its hopeful, forward-peering aspects as well as the melancholy aspects. Multiculturalism is an ideal which dominates political discourse while multicultural policies are still contained within the concept of ethnicity.
