Stealing from the past: globalisation, strategic formation and the use of indigenous intellectual property in the biotechnology industry
Article Abstract:
This article examines the rapid growth of the biotechnology industry and the impact the industry has had on developing countries. The authors argue that the biotechnology firms have created strategic alliances with governments and have exploited the natural resources of the third world without offering anything back to the communities.
