The millennium won't wait; lawyers must anticipate the impact of yhear 2000 problems now
Article Abstract:
Lawyers must respond to their firms' Year 2000 computer problems now as failure to do so or of not advising clients to do so could cause malpractice liability. Systems problems for such failure are many and could include year 2000 problems infecting conflict-of-interest systems and trial attorneys missing trial dates and file dates for 2000 and beyond because the electronic docketing systems cannot provide the necessary ticklers. Other potential Year 2000 problems are listed.
