Abolition of the presumption of 'doli incapax' and the criminalisation of children
Article Abstract:
The 'doli incapax,' or the presumption that children are incapable of crime, is not intended as an avoidance of punishment but as acknowledgement of certain special considerations. Although opponents of 'doli incapax' are seeking its abolishment, the law instead should be retained as children are protected from the consequences of their immature actions in other areas of life.

Prison(er) education
Article Abstract:
Most United Kingdom prisons do little to help their inmates cope with long-term incarceration. Penal reformers may view prisoner education as a way to make a harsh regime more tolerable, prison staff may wish to keep prisoners occupied, and prisoners may be primarily interested in simply passing time. Prison education policy needs clarifying and reforming.
