Consumer protection on the market for consumer credit in Poland-Do near-banks enter the "second market"-similar to the British model?
Article Abstract:
The trends on consumer credit market on the background of the transformation of the EU-Consumer Credit directive in relation to Poland are discussed. Many near-banks in Poland are not submitted to the Banking Act but the Consumer Credit Act, which includes activities of near banks, is regretfully inefficient, and therefore, it is important to harmonize the idea of consumer credit and ensure the unified practice of applying it in all EU-member states.

Regulatory competition and the European harmonization process
Article Abstract:
A critical perspective of the response of the European Union (EU) to regulatory competition is presented and some of the consequences of its approach are discussed in relating to the Company Law. EU is focusing on harmonization among its members but the challenge is not to speed up harmonization but to establish a regulatory framework that produces high quality regulation and strengthens competitiveness and efficiency of the EU.
