Do we really want more leaders in business?
Article Abstract:
Three types of leadership are analyzed based on the description by JoAnne Ciulla, a professor in the leadership and ethics program at the Jepson School of the University of Richmond, to determine which type can provide ethical decisions together with short run profits. The types of leadership considered are the transformational, transactional and servant leaders. Results suggest that choosing a leader based on the concept of leadership ethics will depend on the amount of short-run profit willing to be abandoned in exchange for more ethical corporate cultures.

Ethical development of advanced technology: a postmodern stakeholder perspective
Article Abstract:
The ethical development and use of advanced information technology (AIT) in business organizations is addressed within the context of postmodern ethics. An approach that includes elements of stakeholder and postmodern perspectives is proposed for the development of advanced information systems. An AIT developed using such approach provides the mechanisms for face-to-face interaction and dialogue that are important in postmodern ethics.

An open letter to North American business ethicists
Article Abstract:
Studies of business ethics fail to include the problems encountered by developing countries of the Third World. This exclusion gives business ethicists a negative picture while validating the significant relationship between business and politics. Thus, a renewal of the academic system in which business ethics is taught must be considered. As such, the continued disregard for these ethical problems must be stopped.
