Perceived risk of HIV exposure and medical school selection
Article Abstract:
The influence of perceived risk of HIV exposure on medical school applicants' decisions regarding their application and admission was examined. Specifically, applicants to the University of California School of Medicine system's eight campuses were surveyed. The poll, which had a 52% response rate, confirmed other researchers' findings that the risk of HIV exposure play a minor role in medical school selection.

Hong Kong: an epicenter of increasing risk for HIV transmission? Overview and response
Article Abstract:
Hong Kong has generally experienced a low rate of HIV infection but this could rapidly change. Increased transmission rate could come from growing commercial sex industries in nearby regions, high rates of regional travel, and cross-border mobility.
