Beyond belief
Article Abstract:
Not much is know about effective interventions for people with hypochondriasis. Single case experimental research (SCER) concentrates on the experience of individuals and its translation into a measurable form. It can help nurses to know more about their clients, but it does not yet have broad acceptance. A case study is described including initial clinical sessions which were used as a baseline measurement and to develop a collaborative working relationship.

Ferguson spectacle demeaned system
Article Abstract:
Colin Ferguson's representation of himself at his murder trial made a mockery of the trial process and should make evident the difference between competency to stand trial and competency to represent one's self. The judge in the case may have felt limited by past Supreme Court decisions, but Godinez v. Moran implies that stricter standards of competency in the two situations can be applied. The right to represent one's self is not absolute.
