Reducing upper limb disorders on the packing line
Article Abstract:
Packing line injuries have dramatically reduced at the UK's Nestle Rountree division. Chief medical officer David Batman pushed for packaging and conveyor redesigns that have successfully reduced the number of work-related upper limb disorders. Job rotation has also been introduced as a protective measure. Improvements in company ergonomics, pre-employment screening, treatment policies, and overall risk management have been instrumental in addressing the injury problem.

The Internet
Article Abstract:
Most information on the Internet and the World Wide Web is free and users can communicate globally by using e-mail on the Net. Users need a modem and, where access to an Intranet through a university or a company is not available, must subscribe to an Internet service provider. Usage of the Net can be very slow, especially at peak times. Since nobody controls it, users should be aware that information found is not validated and use care.
